Jesus had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

7 Days Left!
Napping or Resting
Are you napping or resting on your spiritual journey? Man, some days I could just use a loooong nap! What about you? Well, unfortunately there is no time for that. But when I sit down and just take a few minutes to give my worries, thoughts, craziness, and sin to the Lord. I seem to worry less and trust more. Friendly reminder to YOU, take time to be with the one who loves your more than anyone on this planet.Remember, Jesus loves U<3 Rest in Him! God, quiet our herts and renew us in your presence. <><Amen
Return, o my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. Psalms 116:7
Hope 4 Homeless<3
Saturday, May 5th…bka Cinco De Mayo
Teens in Missions headed out to Finley Park to meet the needs of the least of these. We met some really great people. As we walked around looking as lost as could be, definitely out of our element. Our first observation was looking for the homeless and it wasn’t as easy as it sounded. We didn’t want to offend anyone. So, I said a humbling silent pray for us. Lord help us bring hope to those who need to be heard and cared for. Well wouldn’t you know it, God brought us a very special man. He was from up North searching for work down here in the hot south. This man shared his life with us, high & lows…giving God the glory the entire time. This man was visibly struggling with the amazement of God and what he continues to bless him with, but his question to us was what his purpose was and God’s abundance. He asked us to pray for him…and we were immediately on it. We laid hands on him and prayed for his life and strength to continue his journey w/the Lord. After we said amen…this man passionately went to the throne of grace praying for us and strength for his journey, quoting scriptures, praying w/tears in his, in the midst of his struggles and love for the Lord. The Holy Spirit was so present….tears of joy, pain, and peace came from most of us. We didn’t want to leave him, but the sad thing is we had too. His life mission was covered up by his circumstances and he couldn’t see it, but to me; it was a plan as the nose on his face. He was fulfilling his purpose through his faith of belief in God and not giving up. I believe we learned a lot at the park that day. And as we continue our journey of faith may God continue to give us strength for each of our journeys in the midst of life circumstances. Thank you Lord for Teens in Missions & RBUMC for the experiences we had been able to be involved in……….Amen
thought for the day……..choose to enjoy today:D
All of us are tempted at times to complain and say we are not happy. We find our emotions taking over our lives bringing us death half the time, but we can’t allow this to happen because it is stealing our joy. Sometimes you just have to make a decision and tell yourself: “This is what I need to do today so I will enjoy it.” Love Yourself Today: Make a choice to enjoy every moment! Deuteronomy 30:19 can help us, I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life…Let’s choose life today!
Thought for the day…….
Physical destruction is much easier than inner renewal, but sometimes the easiest way is not the best. Jesus wants us to live an abundant life, not a life full of destruction. Lord help us choose the better life, we need you<Amen
